Laina serves as one of our Lead Educators on our Education Team. Laina is from Williamsburg, VA and spent 10 years as a as a competitive Irish dancer, and did other styles (ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, modern, and contemporary) since she was 2, and she still dances.
She also choreographed and taught 3 tap pieces for my high school theater program. She trained at the Carpenter Academy of Irish Dance in Georgia at Open Champion Level. Laina competed at 2018 Southern Regiona Oireachtas placing 3rd in solos and was a World Qualifier. She also competed at 2018 CLRG World Championships in solo and dance drama (2nd place) and then in 2019 in just solo competition.
She is currently a student at VCU, majoring in Theater (BFA performance), Psychology, and minoring in Musical Theater. She has spent her whole life surrounded my music and theater!
